1 Hour Walks – Norwich Photo-Therapy

This is a great way to get outdoors, enjoy photography and meet some like-minded people.

Even short walks can bring great benefits. Get some fresh air, take pictures, have a chat (or a mardle, as we say here in Norfolk). Pick up some photo tips.

All 1 hour walks are £10 per person.

Maximum group of 5 people including myself. Walks will be regularly arranged, so if the one you want is fully booked, new dates and times will be available soon.

All levels of photography experience are very welcome.

These walks are ideal for anyone pressed for time, eg. lunch breaks, between appointments, and for those who are less mobile.

Payment is in advance. If you need to cancel, please give 48 hours notice for a full refund.

Norwich Cathedral Close – 1 Hour Walk

This walk will take you around the cathedral allowing plenty of time to take photographs. I will give you points of interest, new angles and ideas.

We will explore the Cathedral Close, statues and sculptures.

River Wensum – Starting at the (Peter) Jarrold Bridge – 1 Hour Walk

(Car parking spaces (pay and display) at St Helen’s Wharf).

A walk from the Jarrold Bridge, down to Cow Tower and along to Pull’s Ferry.

This is a particularly pretty stretch of the River Wensum. If we are lucky, we will see some wildlife: swans, geese, cormorants, blackbirds, kingfishers. No guarantees of course, but we are bound to spot something!

In spring it is a wonderful part of the river to see daffodils, snowdrops and wildflowers. (There are some snowdrops out now, in January).

This walk includes famous Norwich landmarks (Cow Tower, views of Norwich Cathedral, and Pulls Ferry).

Enjoy photographing this beautiful part of the city. Lots to see in a short space of time.

River Wensum – Foundry Bridge to Carrow Bridge – 1 Hour Walk

A walk away from the city, towards Carrow Bridge. This walk is great for exploring a lesser well known part of the River Wensum.

Starting at Foundry Bridge near Norwich Train station, this walk leads us past modern bridges: the Lady Julian Bridge, and the Novi Sad Bridge, to the much older Carrow Bridge near Norwich City Football Club.

Taking in the older river buildings from Norwich’s more industrial life as a port and the new apartment block buildings.

Sometimes it is possible to spot kingfishers along this stretch of the river. Egyptian geese are often honking around, and of course, there are likely to be majestic swans. Occasionally herons make an appearance, but that is usually in the evening. Still, you never know…

Come summer, I will arrange some early evening walks.

There are plenty of photo opportunities along this part of the River. Come along and see!
